Protein structure and stability

Using biophysical techniques such as circular dichroism or intrinsic fluorescence, we can obtain protein unfolding pathways (Chemical or Thermal). It is important in order to evaluate the stability of proteins with biomedical and pharmacological interest, for design new rational drugs able to disturb the protein activity. That drug might serve as antibiotic against parasites (i.e. Trypanosoma cruzi o Helicobacter pylori).

This work is performed in collaboration with Dr. Claudia Benítez Cardoza in Mexico.
