About me

Edgar Mixcoha was born in 1978 in Mexico City. He studied Chemistry in Faculty of Chemistry (UNAM). He is first class graduated Master degree in Molecular Biomedicine in Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico. Edgar obtained his PhD in Theoretical and computational chemistry by Univesitat Autònoma de Barcelona financed by CONACYT.

As computational theoretical chemist, Edgar Mixcoha is interested in biomolecules with applications in biomedicine using molecular dynamic simulations and QM/MM techniques.

Also, he was working in protein stability using biophysical techniques, obtaining unfolding pathways.

He is currently assigned as a Research Fellow at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Soft Matter and Molecular biophysic group studying molecular physicochemical properties of cyclodextrins.
